About SBFC

The Silverback Futbol Club (SBFC) was founded by Ken Horvath in 1997 and originally started out as a men's indoor team at Folsom’s Soccer Park (named Crown Royale).

SBFC prides itself on being more than just a Football Club. It fosters a family atmosphere with many social events for its members to participate in while maintaining a competitive edge in the leagues we participate in.

Social events include our annual beach BBQ, ski trips to Mammoth, end of season awards banquets, birthday parties, several trips to Vegas and every 4 years, travels across the globe to enjoy the World Cup. Recently, ten members of the Club went on an excursion to South Africa to partake in the festivities.

SBFC teams are represented in all San Diego County Soccer League (SDCSL) open divisions, (from Premier Division to the 2nd Division) and Women’s A in the Peninsula Womens Soccer League. This widespread representation has allowed SBFC to find appropriate teams for all levels of talent, ability and ambition possessed by our members.

SBFC is always on the lookout for new members and players who enjoy a good game of football and can add to our brand of family oriented activities.

Currently celebrating its 16 year anniversary, SBFC has become the largest adult soccer club in Southern California.
